Selection Criteria for Francophone Child Care Centres in Our Directory

The selection of centres presented in our directory is based on criteria designed to highlight services
that promote French-language learning in a Francophone environment, where language and culture go
hand in hand.

We include only child care centres that:

  • are managed by a Francophone organization and have a predominantly Francophone staff;
  • offer educational programming entirely, or almost entirely, in French;
  • reserve their spaces for Francophone families as a priority, or predominantly serve Francophone
    families;
  • clearly identify themselves as a Francophone service in their mission or educational philosophy,
    whether on their website or in the description of their educational program.
